How to Check Your Punjab Board Matric Result 2026

1. By Roll Number (fastest method)

  1. Visit your board's official result portal (see table above).

  2. Select "Matric / SSC Part II Annual Result 2026."

  3. Enter your roll number.

  4. Click Search Result.

  5. Your result card will show your board, roll number, name, father's name, and subject-wise marks.

2. By Name

Lost your roll number or admit card? Most BISE portals also let you search using your full name and father's name instead. This is slower and can return multiple matches in common-name cases, so roll number is always the faster route if you have it.

3. By SMS (no internet required)

Each board publishes its own SMS shortcode close to result day. Send your roll number as a text to your board's designated code — this is published on your board's website and admit card a day or two before the result, and it works on any network without needing internet access, which matters a lot on result day when official sites slow down under load.

4. By Result Gazette (PDF)

Within about an hour of the official announcement, each board publishes a complete Result Gazette — one PDF listing every student's roll number, name, and result. This is the most reliable fallback if the official portal is overloaded (very common in the first hour), and it's useful if you want a downloadable copy for admission paperwork.

Passing Marks & Grading

The minimum passing mark for the 2026 Matric result is 40% in each individual subject across all Punjab boards. Your result card will show subject-wise marks along with your overall grade — keep it safe, as you'll need the original for intermediate admission.

What If You Don't Clear a Subject?

If you don't clear one or more subjects, you're eligible to appear in the supplementary (improvement) examination, expected to begin in October 2026. You'll need to submit an admission form with the applicable fee before the deadline your board announces. (Full step-by-step guide: link to your "Matric Supplementary Exams 2026" post once published.)

What to Do After Your Result

Now that your result is out, the next big decision is your intermediate (11th class) subject group — FSc Pre-Medical, FSc Pre-Engineering, ICS, ICom, or FA. Admission forms for 11th class open shortly after the result, with fee tiers that get more expensive the longer you wait, so it's worth deciding early. (Link to your "What to Do After Your Matric Result" and "11th Class Admission 2026" posts here.)

Whichever path you choose, you can find 11th class textbooks, notes, and past papers for your board on SmartParho — browse by board and class to get a head start before your new session begins.

Rechecking or Verification of Marks

If you believe your result doesn't reflect your performance, Punjab boards allow you to apply for rechecking/verification of marks within a set window after the result. Applications and complaints can be submitted through the official BISE Examination Complaint Portal. Check your specific board's notice for the exact deadline and fee.
