This Privacy Policy explains how SmartParho (“SmartParho”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you visit or use the SmartParho website and its educational resources, accounts, PDF viewer, downloads, subscriptions, Contributor services, Sponsor and institution profiles, student enquiries, donations, payment-verification features, and related services.
By using SmartParho, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Scope of This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies when you:
- Visit or browse SmartParho;
- View, search for, bookmark, or download educational resources;
- Create or manage an account;
- Sign in through Google or another supported authentication provider;
- Purchase or manage a subscription;
- Submit proof of payment;
- Apply as a Contributor or upload educational resources;
- Create or manage a Sponsor, school, or academy profile;
- Send an enquiry to a school, academy, Sponsor, or Contributor;
- Make or receive a donation;
- Request a resource or report an issue;
- Contact SmartParho through a form, email, WhatsApp, or another communication channel; or
- Otherwise interact with our services.
This Privacy Policy does not control how independent third-party websites, payment providers, educational institutions, or communication platforms handle your information.
2. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on the SmartParho features you use.
2.1 Information Collected From Visitors
You may browse publicly available educational resources without creating an account.
When you visit SmartParho, we may automatically collect limited technical and usage information, including:
- Internet Protocol address;
- Browser type and version;
- Device type;
- Operating system;
- Screen size and language settings;
- General location based on your IP address;
- Referring website or page;
- Pages and resources viewed;
- Search terms and filters used;
- Date and time of access;
- Interaction, error, and performance information;
- Cookie, session, or similar identifiers; and
- Security and anti-abuse logs.
We use this information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve SmartParho.
2.2 Account Information
When you create or manage a SmartParho account, we may collect:
- Your name;
- Email address;
- Password in securely hashed form;
- Email-verification status;
- Account role, such as Student, Contributor, or Sponsor;
- Account creation and login information;
- Profile information you choose to provide;
- Account status;
- Subscription level and expiry information; and
- Security, suspension, and moderation records.
We do not store your password in readable form.
You are responsible for providing accurate information and protecting your account credentials.
2.3 Google Sign-In Information
If you choose to create or access your account through Google, Google may provide SmartParho with information such as:
- Your name;
- Email address;
- Google account identifier; and
- Profile image, where available.
SmartParho does not receive or store your Google password.
Your use of Google sign-in is also governed by Google’s privacy policy and account settings.
2.4 Resource, Search, Bookmark, and Download Activity
When you use SmartParho’s educational library, we may record:
- Resources you view;
- Resources you bookmark;
- Files you download;
- Download dates and counts;
- Monthly or plan-based download-limit usage;
- Search terms and filters;
- Selected board, class, subject, medium, year, and resource type;
- Resource requests;
- Reported resource issues; and
- Subscription entitlements used to access a resource.
We use this information to provide account features, maintain bookmarks, apply download limits, improve search relevance, measure resource popularity, prevent misuse, and support users.
2.5 Contributor Information
If you register or apply as a Contributor, we may collect:
- Your name and contact information;
- Contributor biography and profile information;
- Professional, teaching, or educational background you provide;
- Profile image;
- Social or professional links;
- Uploaded PDFs and educational resources;
- Resource titles, descriptions, board, class, subject, medium, year, and other metadata;
- Information about your ownership, permission, or authority to upload content;
- Submission, review, approval, rejection, and removal records;
- Copyright complaints relating to your submissions;
- Messages exchanged with SmartParho;
- Donation-support information; and
- Payout or payment details where applicable.
Approved Contributor names, profiles, attribution, and educational resources may become publicly visible.
Do not upload files containing private student records, passwords, identity documents, private contact information, financial credentials, confidential institutional information, or other unnecessary personal data.
2.6 Sponsor, School, Academy, and Institution Information
If you create or manage a Sponsor, school, academy, or institution profile, we may collect:
- Institution or business name;
- Authorised representative’s name and contact details;
- Logo, cover image, and other profile images;
- Institution description;
- Courses, programmes, classes, and services;
- Address, city, and location;
- Website and social-media links;
- Public email address and phone number;
- Profile slug and directory information;
- Verification status;
- Verification documents where requested;
- Subscription or featured-placement information;
- Student enquiries;
- Responses to enquiries; and
- Administrative, moderation, and payment records.
Information submitted for a public profile may be displayed publicly after review or approval.
Verification documents that are not intended for publication will be restricted to authorised personnel and used for verification, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.
2.7 Student and Parent Enquiries
When a student, parent, guardian, or other visitor sends an enquiry to a Sponsor, school, academy, institution, or Contributor, we may collect:
- Name;
- Email address;
- Phone or WhatsApp number;
- Class or grade;
- City or location;
- Subject of the enquiry;
- Message;
- Intended recipient;
- Date and status of the enquiry; and
- Related communications.
The information entered in an enquiry may be shared with its intended recipient so that the recipient can respond.
Do not include passwords, payment PINs, one-time passwords, identity documents, medical information, financial credentials, or other unnecessary sensitive information in an enquiry.
Once an independent institution receives your enquiry, it may handle the information under its own privacy practices.
2.8 Contact, Support, Resource Requests, and Issue Reports
When you contact SmartParho, request a resource, submit feedback, or report a problem, we may collect:
- Name;
- Email address;
- Phone or WhatsApp number where provided;
- Subject and message;
- Board, class, subject, medium, year, or resource type;
- Page or resource URL;
- Issue category and description;
- Supporting files or screenshots;
- Date and status of the request; and
- Records of our communications with you.
Providing a phone or WhatsApp number is optional unless it is reasonably required to provide the service you request.
2.9 Subscription and Payment Information
SmartParho may accept manually verified payments through methods such as JazzCash, Easypaisa, bank transfer, or another payment method displayed on the website.
When you submit a payment for verification, request billing support, or request a refund, we may collect:
- Account name and email address;
- Selected plan;
- Payment amount;
- Payment date;
- Payment method;
- Transaction or reference number;
- Sender name;
- Partially displayed account or phone information;
- Payment receipt or screenshot;
- Verification status;
- Plan activation and expiry information;
- Refund information; and
- Related support communications.
Your bank, mobile-wallet provider, or payment service may independently collect and process financial information under its own policies.
SmartParho does not need your:
- Payment PIN;
- Account password;
- ATM PIN;
- One-time password;
- Mobile-wallet security code; or
- Complete card or bank-login credentials.
Never send this information to SmartParho.
2.10 Donations and Contributor Support
When you donate to SmartParho or support a Contributor, teacher, school, or educational initiative, we may collect information required to:
- Verify the donation;
- Match it to the intended recipient or purpose;
- Maintain payment records;
- Process an eligible payout;
- Prevent fraud;
- Resolve disputes; and
- Comply with accounting or legal requirements.
This may include your name, email address, payment reference, donation amount, recipient selection, message, payment proof, and transaction status.
Where a Contributor or institution receives a payout, we may collect identity, mobile-wallet, bank, or other payment information reasonably necessary to process and verify that payout.
2.11 Communications and Marketing Preferences
We may record:
- Email-verification messages;
- Password-reset requests;
- Account and security notices;
- Subscription messages;
- Contributor submission updates;
- Sponsor verification updates;
- Enquiry notifications;
- Support messages;
- Policy notices; and
- Your communication preferences.
Where permitted, we may send optional educational updates, resource announcements, or promotional communications.
You may unsubscribe from optional promotional communications. Essential account, security, payment, enquiry, and service messages may still be sent.
3. How We Collect Information
We collect information:
- Directly from you when you create an account, complete a form, upload content, send an enquiry, submit payment proof, make a donation, or contact us;
- Automatically through cookies, server logs, session technologies, and similar tools;
- From authentication providers when you use Google sign-in or another third-party sign-in service;
- From banks, mobile wallets, or payment providers when reasonably necessary to verify a transaction;
- From Sponsors, institutions, Contributors, or other users when they communicate with us about a SmartParho service;
- From publicly available sources when reasonably necessary to verify an institution or Contributor; and
- From security and anti-abuse services used to protect SmartParho.
4. How We Use Your Information
We may use information to:
- Operate and maintain SmartParho;
- Create, verify, secure, and manage accounts;
- Provide PDF viewing, search, bookmarks, and downloads;
- Apply monthly download limits and subscription entitlements;
- Process and manually verify subscriptions, Sponsor plans, donations, and refunds;
- Provide account dashboards;
- Review and moderate Contributor submissions;
- Publish approved educational resources;
- Create, verify, and manage Sponsor or institution profiles;
- Deliver student enquiries to their intended recipients;
- Notify recipients about enquiries;
- Process eligible Contributor or institution payouts;
- Respond to support messages and resource requests;
- Investigate reported issues;
- Send email-verification and password-reset messages;
- Communicate important account, payment, security, or policy updates;
- Improve search results, filters, classifications, and recommendations;
- Measure resource popularity and platform performance;
- Detect spam, fraud, account sharing, automated downloads, and other misuse;
- Protect users, children, rights holders, and SmartParho;
- Enforce our Terms of Service and other policies;
- Investigate copyright complaints;
- Maintain appropriate payment, accounting, moderation, and security records;
- Comply with applicable law and lawful requests; and
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.
We may create aggregated or anonymised information for statistics, educational planning, research, reporting, security, and service improvement.
Information that has been properly anonymised so it no longer identifies an individual may be used without the restrictions applicable to personal information.
5. Legal Grounds for Processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, SmartParho may process personal information on one or more of the following grounds:
Contract or Service Request
Processing may be necessary to:
- Create and manage your account;
- Provide downloads and subscriptions;
- Verify payments;
- Review Contributor submissions;
- Provide Sponsor services;
- Deliver enquiries; or
- Provide another service you request.
Consent
We may rely on your consent for optional communications, non-essential cookies, profile publication, or another activity where consent is appropriate.
You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that lawfully occurred before consent was withdrawn.
Legitimate Interests
We may process information where reasonably necessary to:
- Operate and improve SmartParho;
- Protect accounts and resources;
- Prevent fraud and misuse;
- Moderate content;
- Maintain security;
- Respond to users;
- Protect intellectual-property rights; and
- Understand how the platform is used.
Legal Obligations and Protection of Rights
We may process or retain information where necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, maintain records, investigate illegal activity, protect children, prevent harm, or defend legal claims.
6. How We Share Information
SmartParho does not sell or rent personal information.
We may share limited information in the circumstances described below.
6.1 Service Providers
We may use trusted providers for:
- Website hosting;
- Cloud and private file storage;
- Database services;
- Authentication;

- Analytics;
- Error reporting;
- Security and spam prevention;
- Payment or transaction verification;
- Technical support; and
- Communication services.
These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services and are subject to their own contractual and legal responsibilities.
6.2 Authentication Providers
When you use Google sign-in or another supported authentication service, information may be exchanged with that provider to authenticate your account.
6.3 Payment Providers and Financial Institutions
Information may be shared with or received from banks, JazzCash, Easypaisa, or other payment providers where reasonably necessary to:
- Verify a payment;
- Investigate fraud;
- Process an approved refund;
- Process an eligible payout; or
- Resolve a payment dispute.
6.4 Sponsors, Schools, Academies, and Contributors
When you send an enquiry, SmartParho may share the information entered in that enquiry with its intended recipient.
The recipient must use the information responsibly and for legitimate communication relating to the enquiry.
6.5 Public Profiles and Published Content
Information intentionally submitted for publication may be visible to other users and search engines, including:
- Contributor names and profiles;
- Contributor attribution;
- Approved educational resources;
- Institution names and logos;
- Institution descriptions;
- Public addresses and locations;
- Courses and programmes;
- Public email addresses or phone numbers;
- Websites and social links;
- Verification or featured status; and
- Other information designated for public display.
Search engines, archives, and third parties may retain copies after information is changed or removed from SmartParho.
6.6 Legal and Safety Disclosures
We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law;
- Respond to a court order or lawful government request;
- Investigate fraud, cybercrime, infringement, or security incidents;
- Protect a child or vulnerable person;
- Protect SmartParho, our users, or another person;
- Enforce our policies;
- Establish or defend legal claims; or
- Prevent serious harm or unlawful activity.
6.7 Business Changes
If SmartParho is involved in a restructuring, merger, acquisition, financing, sale, or transfer of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate privacy and confidentiality safeguards.
7. Public Information
Some SmartParho features are designed for public visibility.
Before publishing a Contributor, Sponsor, school, academy, or institution profile, make sure you are comfortable with the information becoming publicly available.
Do not publish:
- Personal home addresses;
- Private phone numbers not intended for public contact;
- Identity documents;
- Financial information;
- Student records;
- Passwords or access credentials;
- Confidential institutional information; or
- Information belonging to another person without permission.
SmartParho may edit, restrict, or remove public information where necessary for privacy, security, accuracy, moderation, or legal compliance.
8. Children’s and Students’ Privacy
SmartParho provides educational resources for students from Class 1 to Class 12. Many users may therefore be under 18 years of age.
Students under 13 may browse and use educational resources with the knowledge, permission, and appropriate supervision of a parent, legal guardian, teacher, or responsible adult.
A parent or legal guardian should be involved when a minor:
- Creates an account;
- Provides personal information;
- Purchases a subscription;
- Makes a payment or donation;
- Sends an enquiry to a school, academy, Sponsor, or Contributor;
- Uploads educational content;
- Applies as a Contributor;
- Creates or manages a Sponsor or institution profile; or
- Participates in a payout or commercial arrangement.
Children under 13 may browse publicly available educational resources. However, they should not independently create an account, provide personal information, make a payment, upload content, or send an inquiry without the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
Parents and guardians should teach children not to share:
- Their passwords;
- Their home address;
- Their school login information;
- Identity documents;
- Payment details;
- Private photographs;
- One-time passwords; or
- Other sensitive personal information.
SmartParho does not intentionally request sensitive personal data from children for ordinary access to educational resources.
If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact info@smartparho.com. We will review the request and take reasonable steps to delete, restrict, or protect the information.
SmartParho may request parental, guardian, identity, or institutional confirmation where reasonably necessary to protect a minor, verify a transaction, investigate misuse, or comply with applicable law.
9. Cookies and Similar Technologies
SmartParho may use cookies, local storage, session storage, pixels, logs, and similar technologies.
Essential Technologies
Essential technologies may be used to:
- Keep users signed in;
- Secure accounts and forms;
- Maintain sessions;
- Remember preferences;
- Save bookmarks;
- Apply download limits;
- Provide subscription access;
- Protect signed or private file links;
- Detect abuse; and
- Maintain website functionality.
Disabling essential cookies may prevent login, downloads, bookmarks, dashboards, or other features from working correctly.
Analytics and Performance
We may use limited analytics to understand:

- Contributor and Sponsor moderation;

- Anti-abuse controls.
No internet transmission, website, storage system, or security method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for:
- Using a strong and unique password;
- Keeping login credentials confidential;
- Signing out on shared devices;
- Protecting your email account; and
- Informing SmartParho promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Where required by applicable law, SmartParho will take appropriate steps concerning a confirmed personal-data breach.
11. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing services, maintaining security, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and meeting legal or accounting obligations.
Retention periods may differ depending on the information:
- Account information may be retained while the account remains active.
- Subscription and payment records may be retained for accounting, verification, dispute, fraud-prevention, and legal purposes.
- Contributor submissions and moderation records may be retained while content remains published and for a reasonable period afterwards.
- Sponsor profiles and verification records may be retained while the profile remains active and for a reasonable period after closure.
- Student enquiries may be retained while needed for delivery, recipient access, support, moderation, and dispute resolution.
- Support messages and issue reports may be retained while relevant to the request or platform improvement.
- Security and technical logs may be retained for a limited operational period.
- Copyright and legal records may be retained while needed to protect rights or comply with law.
- Deleted information may remain temporarily in secure backups until those backups are replaced through ordinary retention cycles.
When information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete it, anonymise it, or restrict further access.
12. International Processing
Some hosting, authentication, cloud-storage, email, analytics, security, or infrastructure providers may process information outside Pakistan.
Where information is processed internationally, SmartParho takes reasonable steps to use appropriate providers and safeguards based on the nature of the information and service.
13. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity verification, you may request that SmartParho:
- Confirm whether we hold personal information about you;
- Provide access to your personal information;
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Delete your account or personal information;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- Stop optional promotional communications;
- Restrict or object to certain processing; or
- Provide a copy of information you submitted, where reasonably available.
To protect users, SmartParho may request information necessary to verify your identity before completing a request.
We aim to respond to valid privacy requests within 30 days. More time may be required where a request is complex, affects other people, concerns a legal dispute, or involves information stored in backups.
SmartParho may retain information where reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law;
- Maintain payment or accounting records;
- Prevent fraud;
- Protect children or users;
- Resolve disputes;
- Enforce our agreements;
- Investigate infringement;
- Protect platform security; or
- Establish or defend legal claims.
14. Account Deletion
You may request account deletion by contacting info@smartparho.com from the email address associated with your account.
Account deletion may result in the loss of:
- Bookmarks;
- Download history;
- Subscription access;
- Account entitlements;
- Contributor dashboard access;
- Sponsor dashboard access;
- Unpublished submissions;
- Enquiry history; and
- Other account-specific features.
Published Contributor resources, public Sponsor information, completed transaction records, delivered enquiries, security records, or legal records may require separate review and may not be deleted immediately.
Information already shared with an independent enquiry recipient may remain in that recipient’s records.
15. Email, WhatsApp, and Social Platforms
SmartParho may communicate through email, WhatsApp, social-media pages, channels, or other third-party services.
When you use a third-party communication service, that service may independently collect information such as your:
- Phone number;
- Profile name;
- Account identifier;
- Device information; and
- Activity.
The third party’s own privacy policy applies to its processing.
SmartParho uses information received through these services for support, educational updates, enquiries, payment verification, partnerships, or the purpose for which you contacted us.
Never send passwords, OTPs, payment PINs, ATM PINs, or unnecessary identity documents through email, WhatsApp, or social media.
16. Third-Party Websites and Services
SmartParho may link to:
- Education boards;
- Government websites;
- Schools and academies;
- Publishers;
- Google;
- WhatsApp;
- Banks and mobile wallets;
- Social networks;
- Cloud services; and
- Other external platforms.
We do not control the content, security, privacy practices, availability, or actions of independent third parties.
Review the applicable third party’s privacy policy before providing information or completing a transaction.
17. Automated Processing
SmartParho may use automated systems to apply download limits, detect unusual activity, organise resources, reduce spam, or identify potential abuse.
SmartParho does not currently intend to make decisions producing significant legal effects solely through automated processing without appropriate human review, unless clearly disclosed or permitted by applicable law.

Do not include passwords, OTPs, or payment PINs.

SmartParho may update this Privacy Policy when our services, features, technologies, payment methods, legal obligations, or information practices change.
The revised version will be published on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
Where a change materially affects how personal information is handled, SmartParho may provide additional notice through the website, account dashboard, or email.
The updated Privacy Policy applies from the date it is published unless a later effective date is stated.
